In Oregon's forests, well over 40 million seedlings are planted every year. Most of the seedlings come from a nursery, like the one managed by Mike Taylor: IFA Nursery in Canby, Ore. Mike manages the planting, care and processing of millions of seedlings in the ground as well as in greenhouses in the northern Willamette valley. He needs to keep his employees, his crews and his customers happy, while at the same time raising the toughest tree seedlings he can. Because once they're planted, they're on their own.
